Unicef UK’s Rights Respecting Schools Award – Bronze: Rights Committed

28 June 2021

We are pleased to announce that The Oldham Academy North have been awarded the Bronze: Rights Committed Award.

This is the first stage in achieving the Unicef UK’s Rights Respecting Schools Award.

Achieving Bronze: Rights Committed means there is evidence that:

  • We have introduced the RRSA Three Strands into our school community
  • Our school’s SLT understand what is involved in the Award and are committed to embarking on the UNICEF UK rights respecting journey
  • The right foundations are in place for our school’s journey to the second stage of the Award, Silver: Rights Aware

We have submitted a detailed action plan for how we are going to achieve our Silver award which is aimed at developing our students’ autonomy, confidence and awareness of their rights.
