The academy will close for the Easter break on Thursday 28th March. Students will finish at an earlier time of 12.30pm. The academy will re-open on Monday 15th April and students need to arrive at their normal start time.

Hello Year 6 and welcome to our transition page.

We are delighted that you are joining us in September and we can’t wait to meet you. We understand moving from Primary School to Secondary School can be an exciting but anxious time for both students and parents and we are committed to ensuring the transition is as smooth as possible for all students.

We have put together a range of resources and events to help you get to know the academy and introduce you to key members of staff who are here to support you through your transition.

Students will take part in lessons with a range of different teachers and meet their form tutors who will guide students through their first year as a TOAN student. Year 6 Taster SessionsFriday 14th July 2023TBCStudentsStudents from certain primary schools will be invited into the academy to carry out a range of taster sessions in music, drama, art and sport to gain an insight into the exciting opportunities we have for all students at TOAN. More information will be sent to the relevant primary schools prior to the event.
Year 6 Sports DayWednesday 19th July 20233:30pm - 4:30pmStudentsOur new year 7 students are invited to attend a mini sports day at TOAN. This will include sports competitions, giant inflatables and a chance to meet students who will also be joining TEAM TOAN in September 2023.

Welcome Packs

Over the next few weeks all Year 6s who are joining us in September will receive an exciting delivery of goodies through their Primary school. It will also contain information on our upcoming events, more details of which can be found below.

Personal Visits
