Attendance in academy is monitored and causes for concern are discussed with the school attendance improvement adviser on a weekly basis. Academies will always try to resolve attendance issues initially with young people and/or their parents, however there are occasions when more intensive work is requested and we will work very closely as an academy to improve overall attendance and future life chances for our academy community.
Please take the time to read the following information as it may be useful should your child be absent from the academy in the future.
12th April 2018
Following recent staff training I write to remind you of the policy regarding medication.
Prescribed medication: should your child be on medication required 3 times per day, they should not bring it into school. If required 4 or more times per day, then parents need to sign documents from the Head of Year and this needs to be clearly labelled.
Non prescribed medication: please note these are not allowed in school e.g. paracetamol or other painkillers/over the counter medication. If these are found on a student they will be removed.
Please ensure all medical records are up to date.
Many thanks #TEAMTOAN
