Meet our headteacher
Welcome to The Oldham Academy North. We are an Ofsted rated ‘Good’ academy where we set high expectations for students and staff in all areas, leading to excellent student progress and putting us in the top 20% of academies and schools nationally. On average, students leave our academy having more than half a GCSE grade higher than their peers nationally (Progress 8 score +0.85).
Summer 2017 results included some of the very best the academy has ever achieved; 57% of students achieved 9-4 in both English and Maths, 27% of students achieved 3 A*-A grades and finally a total of 471 A*-A grades were achieved by our students which was more than double what was achieved in 2016.
Our ethos and core values are built around a TEAM culture. We believe that when joining our TEAM as a student, parent, member of staff or a member of the local community, by embracing our values of Trust, Endurance, Autonomy and Mastery, we will deliver outstanding educational outcomes.
I believe it is our job to ensure that our students take pride in all they do and graduate from our TEAM with the confidence to take on the competitive and ever-changing world around us. Safeguarding is of paramount importance at the academy and our team of highly trained staff work hard to ensure that students understand all aspects of safeguarding, know how to keep safe and also who to inform should they have any concerns.
This is a truly exciting time for the academy and E-ACT as we look forward to a £5,000,000 state-of-the-art expansion as the number of students and staff joining our TEAM grows.
If you have any questions or if you wish to come and see the outstanding work happening across our academy please feel free to contact me.
